PITCHING MADE EASY!

Riggers have a job to do – bad riggers waste your time, disrupt your training, lose you races! AeRoWing are the optimum combination of lightness, durability, stiffness, strength and low wind-and-water resistance. Anyone can make riggers light – or stiff – or strong – or with low drag. But they can't combine those properties. And none, it seems, can match the life-span of AeRoWing. They go on for ever!

AxioR is a solid stainless steel swivel pin with a race-proven patent mechanism for independent adjustment of lateral and fore/aft pitches – IT CANNOT SLIP.

Axior pin
AxioR should be set up on the AeRoWing rigger like this.

AxioR is held completely immovable by a single large bottom nut. As the pin can be pitched up to 5° in any direction this nut has a spherical face which must fit snugly into the special seating washer.

Pitch adjustment with AxioR is easy! You can only change pitch when the spherical faced bottom nut has been undone enough to allow easy movement of the scales – never force the scales. We will assume you know how much adjustment you wish to make, so begin:Axior pin

1. Loosen the bottom, spherical-faced nut at least 1 turn, so that the scales are free to rotate.

2. Choose the correct scale:
Lateral pitch – scale pointer is towards the boat
Stern (fore/aft) pitch – scale pointer is towards the stern

3. Rotate the chosen scale past its pointer, in the correct direction and by the exact amount required, to cancel the measured error in pitch. Remember, rotating clockwise pitches towards the scale, and anticlockwise pitches away from the scale.

4. Tighten the bottom nut with normal force (this self-locking nut cannot work loose).

5. Check that you have made the correct adjustments.

6. Go row!
